When attemting to recover password I get the following message:

"Email could not be sent. The LAMS server has not been configured to handle emails. Please contact your System Administrator."

OS is opensuse 11.4.

Hi Nikos,

Have you lost your sysadmin password? If so you can recover it following the instructions on this thread:

Once you have recovered the admin password, then you should set up the SMTP settings within the sysadmin menu.

Thank you Ernie.
Actually, I didn't forget my password. If a user tries to retrieve his password he gets the message I have written.
In the email settings I have configured LAMS to use the embeded SMTP server, but unfortunately it seems that in this case it doesn't work.
