LAMS V2 RC2 now available

We're down to the final test release before the offical launch of LAMS V2 on December 6th at the LAMS Conference - LAMS V2 RC2 is now available. You can try it out on the demo server at http://demo.lamscommunity.org (those with existing demo accounts have automatically been upgraded to RC2, and all previously created sequences should remain available as before).

For further details about RC2 ("release candidate 2"), including links to the latest source code as well as a downloadable Windows installer, see

Ken Udas from Penn State on LAMS presentation

In October I visited Penn State University to present LAMS and conduct a workshop with hands on demonstrations that seemed to create quite a bit of interest. Ken Udas, who is the new Executive Director of Penn State World Campus, and was previously at SUNY and before this in New Zealand, has blogged about the visit and his take on some LAMS history - see http://blog.worldcampus.psu.edu/index.php/2006/11/07/james-dalziel-intrigues-penn-state-faculty-and-staff-with-lams-demo/

Animated walkthrough of translating LAMS - in Italian!

LAMS V2 is currently being translated into 23 languages. Now our Italian colleagues have created an animated walkthrough of how the translation process works. It's in Italian (which sadly I can't read) but I think it is clear enough to give an overview of the LAMS translation process regardless of your language. Thanks! See it at
