6 weeks to go until LAMS Conference in Sydney, Dec 9th

http://lams2010sydney.lamsfoundation.org/index.htm

Keynote: I'd delighted to announce that Associate Professor Gregor Kennedy from the University of Melbourne will be our opening Keynote speaker at the conference. Gregor will speak on "Difficulties Sharing: Designing for collaboration in online environments" based on his many years of experience with e-learning design and implementation, and excellent new research on student responses to collaborative e-learning tasks.

Program: The Program is almost finalised - it should be viewable by early next week at

Medical Education Colloquium - December 10th

While on the conference theme, a reminder for "Learning Designs in Medical Education Colloquium — An ALTC Project" on the 10th of December also at MGSM at Macquarie University. For details see

LAMS Mobile Learning project

Kathy Stewart and the team at the Macquarie ICT Innovation centre have done a fantastic project on the use of LAMS with mobile devices in fieldwork environments. They used a special version of LAMS that allowed "sub-sequences" to be launched for students depending on their location in a designated fieldwork area, allowing tailored activities to suit the location of students. To watch a great video summary of the project, see

They have recently been adding additional material on this project to their website, so to learn more, see

LessonLAMS.com update

Thanks to everyone who has been testing LessonLAMS.com for us. We found a significant bug in the past month that was limiting access for users who had been added as students, but also wanted a teacher account - this was the reason for many of the errors with logins.

We've now resolved this, and added many other enhancements or fixes, so if you'd like to try out LessonLAMS.com before its final official launch, then this is the last chance to help us and provide feedback. For those who had traumatic experiences with the login problem (!!), it should all be fixed now, so we'd appreciate you giving it another go to ensure all is now working smoothly - thanks for your patience and persistence!

To sign up (or login), just go to http://www.lessonlams.com/
