Hi we are in the process of integrating LAMS into the OLAT 6.1.1 LMS (100% Java based). We took a similar approach like the Sakai implementation, we would ask if there is a more specific documentation concerning 3rd party integration.

Hi Al,

Have you seen the LAMS and 3rd Party App integration documentation?

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks,

ernie

Thanks Ernie for your fast reply, what we are looking for is a "close" integration, in other terms, we dont want to see two environments but only one. A OLAT Student should see his OLAT courses and his LAMS courses, in OLAT we have the possibility to implement dedicated LAMS portlets to do this kind of work, but we need some more detailed doc's to fullfill this task. Can you point out some Dev, documentation about the Sakai implementation ?
Thanks in advance and regards

Hi Al,

The close integration you describe is precisely how LAMS works with its integrations already. The LMS users only see LAMS lesson exposed via the LMS "portlets" as part of an LMS course.

I'd say that the best part to start is to work out the single sign-on and the automatic user creation (see User information. Once that's done, you already have solved the most difficult part.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks,

Ernie
