Glad to hear that you think the new features are exciting!
We are planning on having Moodle support in LAMS 2.0. Don't ask me about timelines - my job is just getting code out the door so I leave timelines to Ernie.
We haven't done all that work on integrations on the past just to dump them.
Due to the sheer amount of the technical changes to the system in LAMS 2.0, you may need to redo some of the integration that you have already done or some other upgrade tasks. This will be the case for all existing LAMS users. I won't promise what you do and don't need to do as we haven't finished that code yet.
From a user's perspective it will still look and feel like the LAMS you have now but (hopefully) better.
We do _try_ to be nice to LAMS users so you won't be "abandoned" in the next version.
